One thing I was a little frustrated with was the epilogue told in Max the Dog and Priscilla the Cat’s perspectives. Even funnier, are the teasing and wisecracks Vivian and Luke make to each other adding to the tension. The side-splitting blind dates from hell range from a witch, a ditz, a flat-earther, a Tolstoy wannabe, and a momma’s boy.

Tegan’s therapy with Luke is a unique and necessary means to help her and Vivian come to terms with Tegan’s absentee father.

I did enjoy Vivian’s daughter Tegan who is important to Luke and Vivian’s relationship. But cupid has shot his arrow and, in their case, opposites attract. I seriously have a hate-hate relationship with the woman. Vivian is just way beyond rude and bitchy for me. Luke is a good guy with good intentions and I really like how he is the adult in the relationship. They are the quintessential enemies-to-lovers who perform a hilarious and frustrating angry/attraction dance that just keeps getting better and better as you read on. Luke and Vivian hit the ground running trading insults and pushing each other’s buttons. And after her daughter, LOVE is the most important thing in her life.
